Research Assistant, NIDUS (New Interventions for independence in Dementia Study)

The successful applicant will work closely with the programme manager at UCL and a research assistant at the University of Bradford. They will liaise with professionals working in memory clinics, GP practices and home care agencies, conduct site initiation visits, recruit and assess people living with dementia and family carers, deliver the NIDUS-family intervention, conduct qualitative interviews and qualitative data analysis. The research will predominantly be delivered to participants in their homes. The researcher will be based at UCL, but will need to work and liaise with sites across the UK. Willingness and ability to travel is therefore a necessary part of this role.
This post is funded by the Alzheimer’s Society and is available from 1 April 2019, until February 2021 in the first instance.
This is a developmental post and would be particularly suitable for someone seeking a career in clinical psychology or clinical research. Strong support for personal and professional development will be available, including clinical supervision.
