The Opportunity

We are seeking a three-year postdoctoral research fellow to be supported by an ARC grant, joining the Monash Institute of Cognitive and Clinical Neurosciences working under the supervision of Professor Mark Bellgrove.

 

You will be part of a research program investigating research relevant to MICCN’s Integrated Research Programs: ‘Neurodevelopment’ and ‘Computational Neuroscience,’ leveraging specialist expertise in areas such as, neuroimaging, imaging genetics, statistical genetics, bioinformatics, connectomics, and systems neuroscience.

 

The candidate's responsibilities:

  • To design experiments in conjunction with the principal investigators

  • To recruit participants, set-up equipment, acquire behavioural and physiological data, and perform sophisticated data analysis and statistics

  • To prepare ethics applications and write-up results for publication in leading peer-reviewed neuroscience journals

  • Attend and present work at meetings with colleagues and collaborators

  • With the support of the principal investigators, prepare for appropriate career advancement

 

Ideally we are seeking someone with a doctoral qualification in psychology, neuroscience or a cognate discipline or a closely related field, an excellent academic track record and the ability to manage the day-to-day running of a research project including scheduling sessions and liaising with other researchers and staff.

 

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
