Duties and Responsibilities

Applications are invited for a Research Fellow in the Research Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology at UCL.


This position provides an exciting opportunity to join a Medical Research Foundation funded research project aiming to further our understanding of the aetiology of adolescent mental health. The project features data from major longitudinal cohorts and the application of advanced genetically informed causal inference designs. As such, this is a unique opportunity to gain training in these cutting-edge methodologies. Funds are available for additional formal training on these topics.

We are looking for an outstanding, high-potential, early-career researcher to contribute to the success of the project and make a substantial contribution to research in this area.


The position is for 18 months, in the first instance, subject to satisfactory completion of the probationary period.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate must have a PhD (or be in the process of completing their PhD) in a relevant subject area (e.g. genetics of complex traits, psychiatric genetics or epidemiological psychiatry), possess excellent statistical modelling skills and knowledge of genetic methods and software, and have a record of high quality publications.
