Research Fellow of Psychology Australian National University, College of Health and Medicine Australia

ANU has an international reputation for research and education relevant to the health and well-being of the population of Australia, as well as that of the developing world. This is achieved through discovery research, applied research in health service settings, research-led teaching in health and medical sciences, and the translation of research findings into practice and policy. The ANU College of Health and Medicine comprises the Research School of Psychology, the ANU Medical School, the John Curtin School of Medical Research and the Research School of Population Health. These schools work together to deliver world-class research and education across the spectrum of medicine and health-related fields, working in partnership with the health sector at local, national and international levels.

The Biological Data Science Institute (BDSI) is a new academic unit in the Joint Colleges of Science that sits at the interface of data science and biological science. It aims to recruit, build and coordinate expertise in biological data science to accelerate the translation of biological data to biological knowledge. Operating in the space between traditional disciplines, the BDSI is positioned to collaborate across the ANU campus and with partner organisations to solve problems that have impact.

This position is in support of the Health Analytics Research Centre (HARC), a collaboration between ACT Health and its academic partners focused on health data science, and research methods and analytics in both qualitative and quantitative areas. You will be required to advance the shared goals of BDSI and HARC in the healthcare space by driving high quality and efficient research and innovation, strengthening strategic partnerships, and accelerating the translation of knowledge to practice and policy. To be successful in the role, you will need to develop and maintain effective, productive and beneficial workplace relationships within all academic and professional staff, students and honorary appointees, as well as with industry stakeholders.
