The Opportunity

The Brain, Mind and Society Research Hub, located at Monash Biomedical Imaging, has an exciting opportunity for a Research Officer to provide support for ongoing research projects within the research unit. This position will work across a number of projects aimed at understanding the relationship between brain and behaviour in healthy and psychiatric populations, and involves working with brain imaging, psychological and other forms of biological data.

The key components of the work will involve recruitment and assessment of participants, including questionnaire and interview-based assessments, collection and storage of biological samples, management of the database as well as liaison with external clinics and other agencies. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in psychology
  • Strong clinical research skills, including experience working in clinical trials 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy and an understanding of confidentiality privacy and information handling principles
  • Demonstrated project administration skills with the ability to support research projects in accordance with agreed standards and timeframes
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
