Senior Lecturer in Psychology

Applications are invited for two permanent full-time senior lecturer posts in Psychology. We are looking for individuals whose teaching and research expertise complement existing strengths within the team. We welcome applicants from all fields of psychology, though we encourage developmental psychologists and HCPC Registered Practitioners with a focus such as forensic or clinical psychology (bearing in mind this is an academic role). Individuals should demonstrate an established research programme that aligns with one of our four research themes: Learning and Development, Health and Wellbeing, Society and Environment, Creativity and Cognition.

The successful candidate(s) will contribute to teaching across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, by delivering taught modules, as well as supervising student projects and PhD students. The appointee will be expected to contribute to on-going curriculum development, as well as assume additional administrative roles, as appropriate. Knowledge and experience of online provision and development will be an advantage.

Applicants should have a doctorate in Psychology, experience of teaching in the University sector, and a track record of research and publications appropriate to the level of appointment. Evidence of previous research funding and knowledge exchange activity will be an advantage.
