Position Responsibilities

This is a full-time teaching position. The candidate will teach up to a total of 6 courses across the two semesters of the academic year. The department offers a collaborative and stimulating culture and a competitive salary and benefits package. Teaching faculty play a full and active part in departmental life and work with other faculty members and our excellent students in a broad range of ways, such as teaching upper-level courses, working on curriculum design and innovation, advising undergraduate student projects, mentoring Ph.D. students interested in teaching careers, and participating in wider faculty governance and decision-making.


Courses to be Taught

We expect the successful candidate to teach a mix of lower- and upper-division courses (lectures and seminars) as well as graduate-level seminars that cover topics in clinical psychology, broadly construed. Course size will vary, but candidates will be expected to teach at least one large service course on happiness.

The department currently offers courses in psychopathology, developmental psychopathology, affective science, gender and psychopathology, and mood disorders; we encourage applicants whose expertise complements and expands on the department’s existing courses. We will prioritize candidates whose courses emphasize clinical science, and an integrative biopsychosocial approach to mental health and intervention.
