West Chester University of Pennsylvania's department of psychology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Biological Psychology beginning August 2020 at the assistant professor level. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have a Ph.D. in psychology before the start of the Fall 2020 semester. In addition, applicants must have the following: (1) an active program of research in the area of biological psychology, as evidenced by a track record of recent peer-reviewed empirical research; (2) experience teaching undergraduate students in psychology and a commitment to teaching the following undergraduate courses: an upper level Biological Psychology seminar, a Learning lab course, a Biological Psychology lab course, and/or Sensation and Perception; (3) a demonstrated commitment to mentoring students in research. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to applicants who use animal models in research. Special Instructions Applicants selected for on-campus interviews will present a colloquium to demonstrate teaching and research excellence. The Department of Psychology is composed of 25 full-time faculty members and serves approximately 811 undergraduate majors, 70 master's degree students, and 30 clinical Psy.D. students.
