To underpin its academic work, the School of Education has a Professional Service team providing a core administrative

service across all our teaching and research activities.

We seek an experienced Teaching Associate to provide the highest quality subject level and technical expertise and support

to students and staff in the School of Education. Specifically, you will primarily contribute to the co-ordination and delivery of

teaching on the MSc in Psychology and Education within the School, along with wider contributions across our UG, PGT and

PGR psychology offering.

The MSc Programme has a steady stream of postgraduate students who are engaged in a wide variety of investigative studies.

The purpose of this post is to assist the MSc Programme Team in this area with day-to-day operation, providing technical

support to the wider range of users and undertaking duties ranging from setting up bespoke lab-based experiments, running

practical classes and assisting with research and statistical related enquiries.

You will have good understanding of psychophysiological equipment (e.g. EEG, Biopac); observation and recording systems;

and psychometric test batteries and will have demonstrable ability to provide specialist advice and assistance to students and

staff (e.g., demonstrating the use of equipment, statistical and experimental packages). You should have good programming

skills in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Matlab).

You will have demonstrable excellence in teaching Psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate level with the ability to

effectively deliver knowledge and understanding to a variety of student cohorts.

You will have a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology or related discipline (or equivalent qualifications/experience) and be eligible for registration as a BPS Chartered Psychologist
